No Fruit, No Response, No Regret – Matthew 21:18-32

In Matthew 21 we find Jesus in Jerusalem heading into the final week before the cross.  Jesus pushes hard the fact that He is the Promised One, the Son of David and He who is worthy to be praised.  Here the Divine King come to the Royal City and the Lord comes to Jehovah’s Temple.  Then in verses 18-32, Matthew records three brief accounts of Jesus finding No Fruit, No Response and No Regret.  A blunt warning is issued that God’s children are to be fruitful, to be ready to confess the truth and, when astray, to be quick to repent.
